The people

Our Team

Led from Muscat, with field supervisors and trained interviewers across all eleven governorates, and one senior person accountable for your programme.

In short

Who works on a Quantum Gulf Marketing project?

Quantum Gulf Marketing is led from Muscat by Abdul Aziz Al Haddabi, its founder and managing director. The company employs full-time Omani and expatriate staff and runs its own panel of shoppers and trained field interviewers across all eleven governorates, supported by field supervisors who know the trade in their region. The company is managed together with SMRC in Dubai, whose team includes former GfK and MEMRB researchers, and UAE enquiries are handled by Archie Thomas. Every programme has one senior person accountable for it from scoping through to debrief.

Field capacity is scaled to the programme rather than the programme being cut to fit the capacity. For tracking studies the supervisory team is kept consistent, because continuity is what keeps one wave comparable with the last, while shoppers are deliberately rotated so no location learns a face. Clients are encouraged to meet the supervisor for their sector, who will usually know things about the local trade that will never appear in a proposal.

Questions

Common questions

Who will actually run our project?

A named senior contact who is accountable from scoping through to debrief, working with a field supervisor for the governorates in scope. You will not be handed to someone you have never spoken to once the contract is signed.

Are your field staff employed or freelance?

We keep full-time Omani and expatriate staff and supplement them with trained, briefed field interviewers and shoppers for each programme. Capacity scales to the study rather than the study being cut to fit the capacity.

Do the same people work every wave?

For tracking programmes we keep the supervisory team consistent, because continuity is what keeps a wave comparable with the one before it. Shoppers are deliberately rotated.

Who briefs the field team?

We do, in person, against the scenario or questionnaire, with calibration against worked examples before anyone goes out.

Can we meet the team?

Yes. For most programmes we would encourage it, particularly the supervisor for your sector, who will know things about the trade that will not be in any proposal.

Do you work in Arabic?

Yes. Fieldwork, moderation and reporting are all available in Arabic, and interviewers work in the dialect of the region they are covering.
