In short

What is automotive mystery shopping, and does QGM run it in Oman?

Automotive mystery shopping assesses the sales and aftersales journey at dealerships, service centres and independent workshops, using assessors who follow a defined enquiry and score what happened. Quantum Gulf Marketing covers the automotive sector across Oman, including franchised dealers, service departments, independent workshops and the parts trade. Two things in this sector reward measurement more than anything else: whether the follow up after a showroom visit actually happens, and whether a service quotation is explained clearly enough for the customer to authorise it with confidence.

How a programme runs

Four stages, every time.

Stage 01

Build the scenario

Your published standard becomes a scenario a shopper can follow and an assessor can score without interpreting it.

Stage 02

Brief and calibrate

Shoppers are briefed and calibrated against worked examples, so two shoppers scoring the same visit reach the same number.

Stage 03

Field the wave

Visits spread across days, hours and locations to your quota, with evidence captured at the time rather than reconstructed later.

Stage 04

Validate and report

Every questionnaire checked before it enters the dataset, then league tables plus the dimension detail that shows what to fix.

Questions

Common questions

Can you measure sales follow up?
Yes, and it is frequently the weakest link. Assessors record whether contact occurred, when, through which channel and what was said.
Can you assess service departments?
Yes. Reception, diagnosis, authorisation, timing and handover are all scoreable, and aftersales is usually where loyalty is decided.
Do you cover independent workshops?
Yes. In Oman the independent network carries a large share of aftermarket work, and benchmarking against it is often the point.
Can you benchmark labour and parts prices at the same time?
Yes, and combining the two is efficient because the assessor is already in the conversation. Matching must be exact for the comparison to hold.
Do assessors book real service work?
Where the scenario requires it and you have authorised it. Costs are quoted separately and transparently.
Can programmes run across Oman and the UAE?
Yes, through our Dubai partners, as one programme to one specification.
