To become a mystery shopper in Oman you register with a research agency that runs mystery shopping programmes, complete a profile so assignments can be matched to you, and then accept assignments as they are offered. Quantum Gulf Marketing recruits mystery shoppers across all eleven governorates of the Sultanate. It is paid assignment work rather than employment: you choose which assignments to accept, each one states its fee and any reimbursement before you agree to it, and you are paid after your report is accepted. No previous experience is required, but reliability, attention to detail and submitting on time are essential.

Submit your report within the deadline. Once it is reviewed and accepted, your fee and any agreed reimbursement are paid.

Is this a job?
No. Mystery shopping is paid assignment work, not employment. You accept the assignments you want and there is no obligation to take any of them.
Do I need experience?
No. You need to be observant, reliable, able to follow a written brief exactly, and able to submit a report on time. We brief you for each assignment.
How much does an assignment pay?
It varies with how long the visit takes, how far you travel and what the scenario requires. The fee is stated in the assignment before you accept it, so you always know what you are agreeing to.
Do I get reimbursed for purchases?
Yes. Where an assignment requires you to buy fuel, a meal or a product, the reimbursement limit is stated in the brief and paid alongside your fee.
Which languages do I need?
Arabic or English. Many assignments specifically need Arabic speakers, and some need both.
Where do you need shoppers?
Every governorate. We particularly need shoppers outside Muscat, in Dhofar, Musandam, Al Wusta and the interior, because that is where coverage is hardest.
How do I get paid?
By bank transfer, after your report has been reviewed and accepted. Payment terms are stated in the assignment brief.
Can I tell people I am a mystery shopper?
No. Assignments depend on you being an ordinary customer, so confidentiality is part of every brief and being identified ends your usefulness on that account.
