In short

What is competitor intelligence, and does QGM provide it in Oman?

Competitor intelligence is the systematic collection of observable competitor behaviour: pricing, range, availability, promotional activity and service staffing, gathered in the field on a fixed cycle so it is comparable over time. Quantum Gulf Marketing runs competitor benchmarking across Oman and, through partner agencies in Dubai, across the wider GCC. Everything is collected openly from what a customer could observe or be told, and every figure traces back to the outlet and date it was recorded. The value is in the repetition: a single snapshot tells you where you stand, a tracked series tells you where you are going.

Questions

Common questions

What is competitor intelligence?
It is the systematic, repeated collection of observable facts about competitors: what they charge, what they stock, what they promote and how they staff. Everything is gathered from public and commercially available sources in the field.
Is this legal and ethical?
Yes. We collect only what any customer could observe or be told in the ordinary course of business. We do not misrepresent ourselves to obtain confidential information and we do not approach competitor staff for it.
How often should it run?
Pricing in a fast-moving category is worth collecting monthly or more often. Range and positioning change more slowly and are usually quarterly. The cycle is set by how fast the thing you are tracking actually moves.
Can you track e-commerce as well as stores?
Yes. Online listings, price and availability are captured alongside physical outlets, which matters because the two often disagree and the gap is itself the finding.
What is the output?
A comparable dataset over time, with your position against each competitor on the measures you chose, plus the underlying records so any number can be traced back to where it was collected.
Can you benchmark across the GCC?
Yes, through our partner agencies in Dubai. A brief covering Oman and the UAE is run as one programme to one specification, not as two studies stitched together.
